Bullhead City, Ariz. – Summer is just around the corner and with  more people travelling, boating, etc., and 4th of July fast approaching, blood banks throughout the country are actively working to ensure that the supply meets the demand.  Historically, during the summer months, our local hospitals have a greater need for blood and there are fewer donors.  During the past two months, we experienced some very serious shortages in our local blood bank and we are still working to rebuild the supply for the anticipated usage during the next few months.

Bullhead City will be hosting a blood drive at the City Complex Police Dept Training room on Thursday, June 16 from 1:00pm to 6:00pm and Friday, June 17 from 8:00am to 1:00pm.  Donors are eligible for great rewards from the United Blood Services’ Reward store. Donors can sign up on line at www.unitedbloodservices.org.  or by calling 702-638-7400
